Inquiring Minds Want to Know About Khepran

Most people are familiar with six most common styles of yoga-Hatha,Ashtanga,Power,Iyengar,Bikram and Vinyasa- but a new style, called Kephran, is arousing curiosity.

Ancient Kemetians or Egyptians have been practicing yogic postures and the art of meditation long before Western Civilization caught on to the benefits of mind, body and spiritual health. But what we've seen over the decades in the western world is an array of yoga and spiritual centers in practically every place that dawns a city name. As a result, many yogi enthusiasts and aspiring yogis have come in droves to stroke their curiosity in the name of health and fitness. Yoga has become a trend for some and a way of life for many others. But what about this new style of yoga that has inquiring minds wanting to know more?

Khepran YogaThe name Khepran in itself is derived from the Kemetian name that refers to the scarab beetle. According to Ancient Egyptian belief, the scarab was symbolic of the principles of transformation, thus being renewed, reborn and resurrected. In practice, Khepran yoga strives to incorporate the ancient philosophy that everone's life goes through a renewal, rebirth and resurrection in order to achieve optimum health and spiritual oneness. Although one may not be able to easily find this style of yoga offered just anywhere, there is one such place sparking an interest in many people. It's set back in a quaint but cozy suburb of Eastpoint, Michigan.

Why Khepran is DifferentUnlike most yoga styles that each emphasize different branches of yogic philosophy, Khepran yoga has aroused inquiring minds with it's unique approach; putting emphasis on the importance of pranayamas or breath work and meditation while also incorporating Qi Chong, a martial art catered to healing and health maintenance. And as if this is not enough, this new and curious healing art form has designed a yoga program that assigns a specific posture to each chakra in the bodies, further promoting awareness and endocrine healing. This new style of yoga also recognizes the essentials of dietary purification and educates its yogi followers through an eight week program to maximize not just spiritual wellness but natural mental and physical detoxifying.

The Mystery of KhepranIt's not surprising that Khepran yoga has been a mystery to the Western world up until now. Still in it's premature stages, it is fastly becoming a new lifestyle for many Michiganders searching for a yoga class that offers not just one phase of the many branches, but a combination of the essentials of yoga from breath work to physical fitness to detoxifying to mental health.
